00 — Hello

One engineer, many disciplines.

I've designed circuit boards, modeled machines, built AI agents for a factory floor, and shipped apps. Working across that many fields means I can see a problem the way every team involved sees it, then build the fix that works for all of them.

Where I've worked

    Boeing Fabrication Engineer

    Auburn, WA · Jan 2026 – Present

Aug 2026 · Joined the AI Steering Team

I took on a bigger role: finding AI and automation opportunities across fabrication, then owning each one from discovery through build, deployment, and shop-floor adoption.

    AI agent · MCP

Ask the factory a question in plain English.

An AI agent on a custom MCP server that connects several internal databases. It turns a question into SQL, checks that the query is safe, runs it, and answers with live metrics.

Demo is a reconstruction with made-up data.

    • Shop-loading decision engine. Reads live work-in-progress, targets, and downstream constraints, then releases orders straight into the ERP.
    • Toolroom inventory on GKE. An inventory database with an ordering portal, scheduled pickups, and automatic barcode labels. It removed the need for two full-time positions.
    • Flow-based recovery metrics. Worked with senior leadership to replace "hours behind schedule." SQL pipelines and dashboards, adopted org-wide.
    • Tube redesign. Consolidated five components into two multi-bend assemblies, saving $146 per assembly and 473 labor hours a year.
  2. 2025Summer

    Flex Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Buffalo Grove, IL · Jun – Aug 2025

    • Cleanroom delivery robots. Led an automation initiative bringing material-delivery robots into cleanroom medical-device production. I mapped routes and redesigned cart layouts to replace manual transport, for a projected $500K in annual savings.
    • Kaizen and time studies. Ran time-and-motion studies and demand/supply gap analysis, then facilitated cross-functional Kaizen events to remove bottlenecks and cut process waste.
    • MRO storage redesign. Re-laid out the cleanroom-supply storage room in AutoCAD for 24% better space use, adding pallet locations for a new customer. Implemented 5S and demand-based reorder points to reduce on-hand stock.
    • Lean training. Led hands-on Lean Manufacturing training sessions and built Excel analytics to back continuous-improvement decisions.
  3. 2024Summer

    Collins Aerospace Quality Engineer Intern

    Rockford, IL · May – Aug 2024

    • GelSight damage assessment. Built a process that uses GelSight imaging to measure the depth of handling damage on Ram Air Turbines. The dataset I collected set the customer's cutoff for acceptable damage, and zero-hour returns fell 40%.
    • Root-cause analysis. Mined Quality Notification data for damage trends, used statistical process control and root-cause analysis to find failure modes, and drove corrective actions.
    • Standard Work. Wrote Standard Work documents that standardized procedures and kept quality consistent across teams.
  4. 2023Summer

    Tetra Pak Automation Engineer Intern

Vernon Hills, IL · May – Aug 2023

    • Team SharePoint site. Designed and built a SharePoint site from scratch to centralize the automation team's documentation and project files, with version control and faster retrieval.
    • HMI and PLC troubleshooting. Used FactoryTalk View to fix HMI display problems, including wrong data readouts and communication errors with PLCs.
    • Parts and procurement. Managed the inventory of HMI and PLC parts, tracked part data in SAP from quote through production, and gathered competing vendor quotes on price and quality.
    • Data analysis. Applied ANOVA and regression to identify key process variables, and validated data ahead of a new project phase.

Youra

Your Oura ring, your data. An iPhone dashboard that talks to the ring directly over Bluetooth and reads Apple Health, with no cloud backend and no subscription. Sleep, HRV, and recovery are computed on the phone with formulas you can inspect. An optional AI assistant runs on your own server, and you preview everything before it's sent.

Juno: a new brain for a medical training manikin.

Juno is a $20,000 patient simulator used by nursing schools, and its electronics were old and expensive. Our team of four replaced four legacy boards with one custom carrier board. A Raspberry Pi CM5 runs the software, and an STM32 handles the real-time sensors and actuators. I designed the 4-layer KiCad layout, which fits the original mounting holes.

Hiring for someone who can work the whole problem?

I'm open to conversations about roles where AI meets real-world operations: deploying AI with customers, solutions engineering, and building systems that have to work on the floor, not just in a demo.
